We have recently partnered with UK Finance, the leading trade body for financial institutions, to deliver training to its members on how best to root out and fight fraud.
The UK Finance Economic Crime Academy provides listeners with an exciting opportunity to discuss and learn more about the key fraud issues and trends facing the financial services industry.
The first webinar which was chaired by Catriona Still, Head of Economic Crime at UK Finance, and joined by members of Synectics Solutions’ Financial Crime Intelligence Team, Matt Williams and Kevin Carradine focused on the growing problem of impersonation fraud.
The series of webinars will cover key characteristics of various types of fraud and financial crime, as well as detailed recommendations for best practice when it comes to working to prevent and detect financial crime.
Philip Allen, Director, Learning at UK Finance, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Synectics on rolling out the UK Finance Economic Crime Academy. Fraud is one of the biggest issues affecting our industry today and working with Synectics has allowed us to ensure that the educational syllabus is highly relevant to the types of fraud that our members and SIRA members are experiencing."
